Safety flooring company set to walk into Middle East

AUSTRALIAN company Safety Floorings is set to cash in on the construction boom in the Middle East, with an exhibit at November’s The Big 5 Show in Dubai.

Safety Floorings will be setting up an exhibit in partnership with Comcork Floorings. The Big 5 is known as the largest annual trade show in the world for the construction industry in the Middle East, the Levant and Asia. It attracted more than 50,000 visitors in 2007.

Dubai itself is said to be the hub of one of the world’s fastest growing regions. Construction activity in the city is representative of the growth of the Middle East, and is home to the ongoing building of the Burj Dubai which is already the tallest man-made structure ever built, despite being unfinished.

The stand will be located in the Australian pavilion together with more than 100 other Australian companies.

The company hopes its range of products, including the Walk Easy flooring option for high-traffic areas, will have applications in the Middle East, especially for enhancing safety in major industrial and commercial developments.
