Talk puts the emphasis on health
THE National Safety Council of Australia and CCH Australia are holding a talk on the importance of the “health” component in occupational health and safety.
Dr John Tickell, a health and lifestyle commentator, will be holding the talk called “Put the Life Back in Your Business”, and will discuss how business, family and personal well-being can be balanced.
He will outline plans for channelling stress responses into winning ideas and provide information on the latest ideas related to how to live younger, better and longer.
According to the organisers, Dr Tickell pioneered corporate health management clinics in Australia, and has written a number of books and appeared in various television shows.
He was also rated as one of the 10 top speakers in the world by America’s business groups.
Dr Tickell is the only Australian to speak on the main platform at the American Million Dollar Round Table Insurance Conference twice and was rated in the top 10 speakers in the world by one of America’s most influential business groups.
The talk will take place on 5 June 2008 at WatersEdge, Walsh Bay. It costs $55 for members of the NSCA, and $71.50 for non-members.
