Updates for hazardous substances database

The HSIS is a free online listing of hazardous substances which are used in a variety of workplacesTHE AUSTRALIAN Safety and Compensation Council (ASCC) says they are currently updating and consolidating their Hazardous Substances Information System (HSIS).
The HSIS is a free online listing of hazardous substances which are used in a variety of workplaces. Hazardous substances are chemicals that can have an adverse effect on health following worker exposure.
The update will amend 458 entries and add 454 new substances to the list. It will reflect changes made to the European Approved Criteria for Classifying Hazardous Substances.
The online database was first released in January 2005. The ASCC has encouraged all industries which use hazardous substances to familiarise themselves with the updated list.
