Workshops at hardware stores will cover asbestos awareness, general maintenance safety, working at heights, electrical hazards and workplace safety laws. Other workshops will have information on specific safety issues to do with mining, agriculture, construction, manufacturing and transport.
The event will also look at wider social issues such as drugs and alcohol, workplace bullying and work life balance.
