Oversee the sourcing and purchasing of raw materials across the region, and ensure that business objectives are met. Manage related projects.


This high profile high profile multinational with a substantial manufacturing and warehousing operations in Africa, Oceania & Asia, is seeking to appoint an experienced food scientist to manage the raw material sourcing across the region. You will ensure best practice is adhered to, in including supply, handling and storage. You will implement product innovation and renovation through ingredient/raw material selection and optimization.
On an ongoing basis you will monitor trends in raw material pricing and analytical profiles to assist in purchasing and formulation strategy to allow optimal exploitation of opportunities and contracts by market.

You will perform a regional role, however be physically based at the NSW manufacturing plant.

We are seeking a high-calibre candidate with technical knowledge, and the ability to make decisions and proactive recommendations, being resilient when dealing with the various divisions involved. Equally as important are your project management skills, and ability to manage to time line and to budget.

Ideally you will have product technologist experience in an FMCG manufacturing and distribution environment, SAP knowledge (preferable), together with tertiary qualifications in Applied Science (Food Technology/ Agriculture) or equivalent.
