ASBESTOS Awareness Week will be held between 24 and 30 November 2008, and will commemorate and support individuals and families affected by asbestos-related illnesses.
The Week will be celebrated nationally by asbestos support groups, unions, and victims. It aims to raise public awareness of the dangers of asbestos exposure.
On 27 November 2008, there will be a commemoration service followed by a BBQ in Melbourne.
There will also be a pre-conference reception and an opening night performance on 28 November in Williamstown. The “Information and Inspiration” Asbestos Conference will be held by ADSVIC between 29 and 30 November.
