WORKSAFE Victoria’s WorkHealth initiative, which is said to improve the health of Victorian workers and the productivity of workplaces, is now available in all regions across the state.
According to WorkSafe, WorkHealth aims to support Victorian workplaces by offering voluntary programs to promote heath and wellbeing.
WorkSafe says under the initiative, Victorian employers have the opportunity to participate in one of two opportunities, Worker health checks and workplace health promotion grants.
Worker health checks offer workers a free and confidential health check which helps them understand their risk of heart disease and type 2 diabetes.
Workplace health promotion grants allows employers who have offered health checks to the majority of their workers in the past two years to access a grant to expand existing workplace activities.
