LEDEX, an Australian portable industrial LED company, has released its full intrinsically safe product lines, in the brand name of 'Kinyun Australia'.
They are Cordless Miner's Caplamps, certified in 'IECEx ia I IP67' for coal mines and Helmet Lamps, certified in 'IECEx ia IIC T3 IP67' for petrochemical industry and fire services. The products include standard, lightweight, flush, rear beacon, side-wearing models and some portable safety models for general applications, rescue operations, traffic controls and vehicle emergencies. Totally 16 products are certified by TestSafe.
This is the world's only complete cordless caplamp and helmet lamp family. Many mining and petroleum companies have been waiting for their certificate, such as BHP Biliton, Barrick Gold and Rio Tinto. Previously, cordless caplamps have been successfully used in coal mines. For example, >800 have been in service in a BHP coal mine in the last three years.
The lamp is a small fully sealed rechargeable head piece in IP67 and therefore can be used as a mini-torch or a portable lamp in many ways with Ledex wide range of accessories. Six models of charging banks are in place to charge lamps 8-53 lamps in different power supplies.
