Special step platform ladder for Integral Energy

Image1

BRANACH Manufacturing has developed a special step platform ladder for Integral Energy.

According to the company, the energy provider needed a solution which would allow its personnel to safely work at heights during the maintenance of high voltage substations.

The substations can create large static charges in the aluminium components of step platforms, and there were concerns a static shock could cause falls.

Branach says it insulated the aluminium platform standing area with a non-conductive rubber coating, and coated other metal components with plastic to minimise technicians’ exposure to metal.

The company also augmented the platform ladders with ladder levelling systems to deal with unlevel ground.
